About this role

The primary responsibility of the role involves planning and conducting audits of client financial statements, including assisting in the determination of appropriate audit methodologies and performing risk assessments. The role also includes performing reviews, compilations, tax preparation, and tax review, as well as providing other consulting services. Key responsibilities include planning and executing audits, preparing and managing compilation and review engagements, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of audit engagements. The ideal candidate should have a strong working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), proficiency in various accounting-related software, and excellent time management and task completion skills. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team is essential, along with strong verbal and written communication skills. The candidate should also thrive in a fast-paced environment.

About you

• 5+ years of audit experience, specifically financial statement and tax audits
• Prior experience in individual and business tax preparation
• In-depth knowledge of applicable tax laws, regulations, and filing deadlines
• Familiarity with tax forms, schedules, and core tax concepts
• Proficiency in tax preparation software, as well as word processing and spreadsheet applications
• Strong organizational skills, including time management and strategic thinking
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail
• Familiarity with U.S. GAAP
